It doesn’t get much more classic than a good old fashioned trench coat. Think Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, Humphrey Bogart in “Casablanca”, the Burberry coat everyone can identify in a heartbeat.
A trench coat goes with everything. Over a t-shirt dress for a chilly morning coffee run, over a pencil skirt and top for the office, and, my personal favorite, over skinny jeans and a t-shirt for a day walking around Florence on our honeymoon.
A trench coat elevates a simple outfit. It pairs perfectly with cigarette jeans, ballet flats, and another classic of mine – red nails. And mine always makes me feel a bit more pulled together than other jackets. Add an oversized pair of black sunnies, and channel your inner Holly Golightly!
