Strapless Bra Review: My Favorite Options for Small Busts

Nothing says summer like a cute strapless top or skinny-strap sundress; but, for most women, finding a well-fitting and comfortable strapless bra to wear under our favorite summer staples can be a challenge. My bra size has changed so much over the past three years between two pregnancies and breastfeeding two babies, so this summer it was time for me to find some new options! I’ve teamed up with my friend Ashley to find the best strapless bras for a variety of bra sizes – be sure to check out Ashley’s favorites, too!

Best Quality
Brand: Soma
Style: Wireless Strapless
Size: 34B

When we first started this little research project, Ashley and I each got a ton of recommendations for Soma bras so I ordered the Stay Put Wireless Strapless. When I opened it, I was immediately impressed with the quality of the fabric, the shape, and the comfort. The only thing I don’t love about this one is that it’s a little too wide for my sternum so the cups don’t fall exactly where I’d want them to. I would say this bra run a little big so I’d be curious to see how a smaller cup size (that would be an A cup for me…it’s fine…) would fit!

Most Comfortable
Brand: Lively
Style: Bandeau Strapless
Size: Small

This bra doesn’t even feel like you’re wearing a bra. It’s that comfortable. It’s definitely wide from top to bottom, and not the easiest to conceal, especially under lower-cut or v-neck tops, but it’s perfect to wear under anything that has a straight neckline or an off-the-shoulder dress or top. I also really like that there is an option to buy two in a bundle and save a few dollars!

My Favorite!
Brand: Lively
Style: No-Wire Strapless
Size: 32C

I truly forget that I’m even wearing a bra when I have this one on. It stays exactly where I put it, the strap is wide enough that it’s secure but not so wide that it’s cumbersome, the cups are fitted without giving you the illusion of having four boobs (if you know, you know), and it’s so lightweight. They didn’t have my true size, so I did the old up the cup size down the band size trick and it fits perfectly! I just latch the band on the smallest hook and it stays put with no problem. Just like the Bandeau, this style also comes in an option to buy a bundle of two colors!

Can’t Wait to Try
Brand: Wacoal
Style: Staying Power Wire Free Convertible Strapless
Size: 32B

When Ashley and I started trying bras to review, Wacoal was nice enough to send us each a t-shirt bra and it is amazing! I haven’t worn an underwire since before I got pregnant with TJ because after living in maternity and nursing bras, underwires truly feel like torture. The How Perfect No Wire Contour Bra wears so well under t-shirts – I can’t wait to try their wireless strapless!
