Packing for a Weekend Away with Goldigram

You guys. How do we pack up for a vacation? It’s been so long, I don’t remember! We have a really exciting trip planned for early this summer and I was lucky enough to get some essentials to make packing so much easier from my friends at Goldigram – they’re local to the South Shore but they ship their beautiful and personalized products all over the US! We used these new goodies for a practice run at packing this past weekend when we went to my parents’ for Easter, and I can’t wait to bring them on a real actual vacation in a few months, too!

For the boys
Dock & Bay Towels – these towels are literally the perfect beach towels. They’re huge, they stay cool, and they’re quick dry. The ladies at Goldigram embroidered each of the boys’ names on their towels and they are obsessed. No more “that’s my towel!” here. I especially love that these towels come with drawstring bags to pack them in so they can easily be thrown in a suitcase, diaper bag, or in the back of the car. I definitely plan on keeping these handy all summer for spontaneous beach mornings close to home and picnic lunches, too!

Stacking Sets – I shared these on Instagram stories last week, and my obsession with these perfect little storage bags has only grown after using them on 4-hour drive to my parents’ house. The boys each used the biggest bag to pack their toys of choice for the weekend in – and this was perfect because there was a limited amount of space they could fill so if a toy didn’t fit, we didn’t bring it. The middle-sized bag was perfect to stash some snacks for each of them for the car ride. For TJ, I just put his snack bag in one of the pockets of his backseat organizer and he was able to take what he wanted when he was hungry. This size is really going to come in handy for Jacob because it will allow me to keep all of his allergy-friendly snacks separate. The smallest bag is the perfect size for masks, goggles, and other odds and ends that usually get lost in a big diaper bag or beach bag!

For Mama
I actually have no words for how amazing this Canvas Boat Tote is. I fit so many things in this bag that I was able to bring one whole less piece of luggage with us last weekend! The best part is that no matter how full it is (and trust me…it was full), it doesn’t feel heavy because the straps are a really great length. The material is thick and supportive of all of the stuff that can fit in it, and there are pockets on the inside of the bag which is essential! There’s also a great little pocket on the outside that’s perfect for keys, a small water bottle, or anything else you don’t want to fish through the big pocket of the bag for. I plan on using this bag as my carry-on for our flight this Summer and I can’t wait to get everything for our flight into one consolidated place. Plus, the monogram on this bag is so beautiful, too – my favorite blush pink color in a feminine font is perfect for this boy mama!

Packing for any number of nights away for home, or even a day trip for that matter, with two little ones can be stressful and we always bring way more stuff than we need. As we’ve gotten smarter and more efficient about what to bring and how to pack, these trips have gotten a lot easier. I’m so grateful to the ladies at Goldigram for making such beautiful pieces that will last for years and help us keep ourselves organized as we travel and build memories with our boys!
